The Preggio Music Festival runs from late July to the second week of August. Fine singers and musicians perform concerts under the stars in the shadow of the 13th century Romanesque church. www.preggio.info
Preggio - "Sagrà della Castagna". The third weekend of October each year, this festival is held throughout the village with many of the old houses opening up their wine-cellars as tiny botteghe and restaurants serving local specialities featuring the local chestnuts. Perugia - 'Umbria Jazz' is one of the most important jazz events in Europe. It has, in its time, hosted the greatest modern jazz musicians. The event lasts ten full days in July: a hundred or so concerts take place from morning to night among the ancient buildings in the historic centre of Perugia. www.umbriajazz.com
Perugia Chocolate Festival - an annual event dedicated to the chocolate for which it is famous. Chocolate tasting, shows, workshops and chocolate sculpting take place throughout the historic centre of this beautiful medieval city - from mid October. www.chocolate.perugia.it

Montone Film Festival - July. The setting is the small, beautiful medieval hilltop town. Many films are shown in the town's atmospheric piazza.
